During the Holy Month, Gambian Women’s Lives Matter opted to support babies who lost their mothers during childbirth. Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam. It’s a time of intense prayer, fasting, charity and self-reflection.
In Surah Al Munafiqun, the chapter 63 of the Quran, the verse number 10 tells,
“And donate from what We have provided for you before death comes to one of you, and you cry, “My Lord! If only You delayed me for a short while, I would give in charity and be one of the righteous.”
Gambian Women’s Lives Matter hopes to continue providing opportunities as these so that more women and their families across the Gambia can be recipients of the giveaway and be blessed.
Barak allah fik!
